Hello,
My laptop stops working now and again. That happened sometimes ever since I bought it and i didn't think a lot about it, but the last week it allready did it 3 times. Once was in the middle of a WoW game and the other 2 times were when I was starting up my laptop. Before i could fill in my Windows password it died.
It goes really fast, one second and everything is completely out. When I restart it (what I can do immediately) I even have to set my keyboard lights again, because everything is out.
You'd think it would be hot or something but because it also happens when I'm just starting it, its really strange.
I hope someone can help me with this.
Thank you!
Greetings Sabrina

HEllo @djbabe
There could be any number of reasons it shuts off like this. Most likely its a hardware issue.
Are you still under Warranty??? The best advice would be to contact HP Support and create a claim.
Contact HP Worldwide | HP® Official Site
You could also try running the HP Diagnostics Tool also.
With the laptop plugged in to the power cord, press the power button and rapidly tap the F2 key until the Diagnostics screen appears. Run the extensive tests for everything.
Here is more info on how to use the tool... HP How to use Diagnostics
Let us know if it produces an error code.

Hi Photoray002,
Thank you for your fast answer. I did try the diagnostics tool. But I think because the laptop just stopped without any warning, the tool couldn't pick it up and said everything was okay.
Funny fact, just an hour after I posted this question, the laptop died on me. It did exactly the same but now it didn't start up anymore. I bought the laptop 16.02.2018 and it died on 17.02.2019. I was a bit worried about my warranty but the company where I bought it says I have 2 years warranty, so I'm happy. They will send the laptop to HP and hopefully they will fix it.
I will add what the problem was when I get the laptop back. Tnx for replying!
