Hello, I have had  the HP gaming PC for a few years and it worked great until today. I noticed it was plugged in and i needed to use it elsewhere. I unplugged it and moved to the other room. I tried to power it on, and it would not turn on. I plugged it in and it worked, battery is 91%. I then use the HP support assistant to run a test on the battery and it passes. I then unplug the laptop and it dies. I reboot and come here for answers. Also, this laptop does not have a removeable battery. Thoughts? Suggestions?

Welcome to the HP Support Community! I'd like to help!

 

I see you are experiencing issues with the HP Pavilion Gaming.   

 

I have a few recommendations 

  • Update your Notebook computer to the latest BIOS from HP.COM.
  • Make sure the Windows and HP support assistant updates are up to date. 
  • For Testing and calibrating the battery please click this link

If issue still persist then run diagnostics to rule out any hardware issues.

  1. Start or restart the computer.
  2. Press F2 repeatedly during start up to enter the HP PC Hardware Diagnostics UEFI utility.
  3. Select System test 
  4. Click Run Once.

Once the test completes, results are displayed on the screen.

 

If it passes all tests, continue to restore a computer back to the factory default using Reset PC from windows, which will isolate whether it’s a software or hardware issue.
