My laptop won’t turn on because it suddenly went to blue screen and wont boot up. I went to a repair store to get it checked out and they told me that the motherboard was fried because some ants went inside the laptop. I was wondering if I can go to a store and get this fixed under warranty even though I bought this from a guy but have no contact with him anymore but I do have proof of purchase from him on my bank account.

Hi @Reben2,
Welcome to the HP Support Community!
I’m really sorry to hear about your laptop issue. Based on what the repair store found, it looks like the damage was caused by ants getting inside, which falls under customer-induced damage. Unfortunately, this type of damage isn’t covered under warranty. However, I’d be happy to assist you in purchasing a new device, and I might even be able to help you get a discount. Let me know how you’d like to proceed!
I'm glad I could help! 😊 If this resolved your issue, please mark it as "Accepted Solution" and click "Yes" on "Was this reply helpful?"—your feedback not only keeps us going but also helps others find the solution faster! 👍✨
Take care and have an amazing day ahead! 🚀
Best regards,
