Interesting...

Below is the link to the service manual for the model series:

Maintenance and Service Guide

Chapter 1 indicates that HP offered PCIe Gen 4 x 4 NVMe SSD's and PCIe Gen 3 x 4 NVMe SSD's and that there is support for two NVMe SSD's.

Given the above info in the service manual I recommend that you replace the drive with a PCIe Gen 4 x 4 NVMe SSD.

You can install as large a capacity as you need as long as the drive is single sided so it fits in the SSD slot.

The Crucial memory/SSD report provides compatible drives that should work in your notebook:

Other drives to consider would be a Samsung 900 Pro or a WD Black SN850.

I found this service teardown video for the model series online which may be of additional help to you for opening up the notebook to replace the drive.

🛠️ HP Omen 17 (2021, 17-ck0000) - disassembly and upgrade options

Reinstalling Windows on the new drive:

Since your notebook is supported by the HP cloud recovery tool, I recommend that you make a bootable USB recovery drive with that software that will factory reset your PC's drive to its 'out of the box' condition.

Here is an info link for how to use the utility.  You will need a 32 GB USB flash drive for this.

HP Consumer PCs - Using the HP Cloud Recovery Tool in Windows 11 and 10 | HP® Support

You can download the software from the Microsoft Store.

Since you have to use the software on another PC as yours is not working, you will need to enter your PC's product number in the tool's search window in order to proceed.

Your PC's product number is 2Y4B1AV#ABA
