OMEN Laptop - 17-cb1008na
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Had the laptop just over 24 hours - had to overcome an issue with the wifi card and then noticed the volume was so quiet when gaming and listening to talking on youtube.

Spent hours on with the technical support chat - downloaded BIOS etc, alas still not fixed. Anyone else had this - If so how fixed?

1. Please do a clean install Audio software/driver, this should help.

(a) Download the following driver and save on your computer,
             https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp107001-107500/sp107248.exe

(b) Go to Device Manager, Sound to uninstall sound driver (Realtek) and reboot,
(c) Right click downloaded file and select Run as administrator,
(d) Reboot again.

2. You can also use HP Audio Control to tailor sound to suit your ears

(a) Hit Win key,

(b) Locate HP Audio Control,

(c) Select option for Equalizer.

Regards.

Hi,

I have the same problem. I als use a 17" Omen (a few weeks old). I think the volume on this Laptop is very low. I also think it works as designed...
