M.2 PCIe 3.0 x1 instead of PCIe 3.0 x4

OMEN Laptop 15-dc0xxx 5CD8509JV
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello. I recently bought OMEN by HP Laptop 15-dc0xxx i7-8750h gtx 1070 16gb ram , and according to laptop specs it supposes to support a  2280 PCIe 3.0 x4 NVMe M.2 slot. I upgraded my NVMe SSD to Samsung 970 pro and installed its own driver, but it is showing that laptop PCIe interface is only PCIe 3.0 x1instead of PCIe 3.0 x4, which means low SSD speed and performance. any ideas regarding this issue? Thanks.

Thank you for your kind reply.
The problem has been resolved. I had to pull the m.2 ssd out of the socket and then reinstall it back to the laptop, and reset the BIOS to the default settings, which solved the problem.
