I WANT TO KNOW HOW MUCH GIGS OF SSD AND HDD IS SUPPORTED IN MY DEVICE i.e. HP Pavilion - 15-ec1052ax AND HOW MANY SSD SLOTS ARE THERE. CAN I USE 2 SSD AT SAME TIME WITH DEFUALE 256GB SSD AND 1TB HDD?
Yes, you can use the existing 256 GB SSD and a 1 TB hard drive. There is only one M.2, SSD, socket on the motherboard. There is a Hard Drive (HDD) bay, also. Here is the Maintenance and Service Guide: http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c06446633
On Page 30 is a list of compatible M.2, SSD's, with instructions for removing and installing them. On Pages 33 and 34 is a list of compatible HDD's with removal and installation instructions. Also, the Guide has any other information that you may need on the laptop.
Another option that you have is use an external SSD or HDD. This will save space inside of the case to allow for better airflow. I use an external SSD for my personal data. I connect it to my laptop and desktop using a USD 3.0 adapter: https://www.startech.com/en-us/hdd/usb3s2sat3cb
The small SSD's don't take much space on your desktop. I have had this adapter for about a year. It works great with my Samsung EVO 840!
