Hi @NAVEEN033

Welcome to the HP Support Community! We're here to help you get back up and running.

I understand how frustrating it is to have the camera missing from your Victus notebook, especially when you rely on it and cannot find the driver source. You’ve already taken the right step by checking Device Manager and confirming it isn’t listed.

Let’s go through the most effective ways to restore it:

1. Verify camera detection in Device Manager

  • Press Windows + X and select Device Manager.
  • Click View > Show hidden devices.
  • Expand Imaging Devices or Cameras.
  • If the camera does not appear at all, it means Windows is not detecting the hardware.

2. Run HP PC Hardware Diagnostics (UEFI)

  • Restart the notebook and press Esc repeatedly.
  • Select F2 – System Diagnostics.
  • Run Component Tests > Camera.
  • If the test does not detect the camera, it confirms the hardware is not being recognized.

3. Install the latest drivers and BIOS

  • Go to the HP Victus Gaming Notebook Drivers and Software page.
  • Enter your exact product number.
  • Download and install the latest BIOS, chipset, and camera drivers (if listed under Software – Multimedia or Imaging).
  • Restart the notebook after installation.

4. Use Windows Update

  • Open Settings > Windows Update.
  • Click Check for updates.
  • Install all available updates, including optional driver updates.
  • Restart and check Device Manager again.

5. Test with the HP App

  • Install the HP App from the Microsoft Store.
  • Run Diagnose & Fix to scan for missing drivers or blocked devices.
  • If the camera hardware is detected, the app will restore the driver automatically.

If the camera still does not appear in BIOS diagnostics or Device Manager after these steps, it points to a hardware recognition issue rather than just a missing driver. In that case, reinstalling Windows or updating drivers will not resolve it.
