HP Omen
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello.

Why the macros keys on my Omen notebook start woring only after opening the Omen Command Center? I configured key "P6" as "Shift+Alt" to change the language quickly, but it works only after the Omen Command Center was opened.

Thank you

Greetings!

Welcome to the HP Support Community. This is a great place to get support, find answers and tips to your technical queries. I have reviewed your post and I understand, there seems to be an issue with the Macros Keys.

Don't worry, I'm here to help!

Let's try these steps -

Update OMEN Command Center by downloading the app from the Windows Store -

1) Click the Windows Store icon in the system tray. Search for OMEN Command Center.
2) Click Update.
3) Wait while the program downloads and installs. Click Play.
4) OMEN Command Center opens.

Also, try updating the computer -

Step 1 Windows Updates troubleshooter -

Click on this link to run Windows Updates troubleshooter.

Step 2 Windows Updates -

1) In the search box, type and open Windows Updates.
2) Check for updates.
3) If the updates are available, click on install and restart the computer.

Step 3 HP Support Assistant Updates -

1) In the search box, type and open HP Support Assistant.
2) Check for updates.
3) If the updates are available, click on install and restart the computer.

If the issue still persists, delete the macro and try to reconfigure it -

Click the red X icon next to the macro name to delete it, then click Yes in the pop-up message.
