Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I dont know if this has any merit to the conversation but I replaced the HDD for a SSD.(this would be a secundary drive)

The first problem I want to talk about is that my BIOS failed to update and even after going to a older working build I have problems with it.

After updating the BIOS by using the instructions on the install software for my model the laptop restarted but did not fully install the BIOS update and I got a LED light flashing on my Caps Lock (failed to start BIOS error or something like that). If I leave my PC off for 10 min I can start it normally (it cannot restart or go to sleep, if I do it I get the LED light again). I did a rollback and turned it back to the last working version but now I'm getting crashes like WHEA_UNCORRECTED_ERROR and PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED... "chkdsk /f /r" and "sfc /scannow" didnt help or find a problem.

The second problem is the temps... while gaming im getting all the way up to 97-100C even after a undervolt. The picture should explain all.

@SpaceCatPizza Welcome to HP Forums!

I suggest you perform a BIOS rollback since the issue occurred after the BIOS update that failed, here are the steps you need: Click here for steps,

And if the issue persists, ensure the overclocking hasn't been activated via any other recent automatic updates using the below steps:

  1. Open Start Menu and go to Settings.

    Whea_Uncorrectable_Error windows 10 sysprep

  2. Go to Update and Security, and then to Recovery tab.
  3. Click on Restart now in Advanced startup and your computer will restart.

    Whea_Uncorrectable_Error overclock

  4. On Advanced startup, go to Troubleshoot, then Advanced Options and then UEFI Firmware Settings.
  5. Click Restart.
  6. After the computer is restarted, it should open BIOS automatically, so go Advanced tab.
  7. Navigate to Performance, and look for Overclocking.
  8. Make sure overclocking is disabled.
  9. Save changes to BIOS (by pressing F10 on your keyboard), and start your computer normally.

After disabling overclocking, you shouldn’t face this issue anymore.

Let me know how that pans out,
