HP OMEN 15.6" Gaming Laptop 15-ek0008ca
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I bought a HP OMEN 15.6" Gaming Laptop 15-ek0008ca. It comes with 1TB SSD, and as I understand that is the maximum storage this model allows. But there is an empty M.2 slot. As I understand this slot is only there in case I want to setup Raid configuration with 2-512GB SSD's. However, is it possible to use this slot for a second 1 or 2TB SSD? I would like to max out my internal storage. What is the most I can do here? Thanks!

It has 2 M.2 NVMe SSD ports, without RAID 0, you can have 2TB + 2TB = 4TB using single sided M.2 SSD's. Larger capacity drives  may not physically fit.

Thanks so much.  This is great news. The HP tech support chat person said that 1tb was the max, and that did not seem right to me. Do the drives have to match, or can I have 1TB + 2TB? Also, when looking for a drive I need to look for a single sided M.2 SSD NVMe--are there any other specs I should be aware of?

Thanks

Thanks again. I was wondering if either of these SSD storage sticks would be compatible?
