Good day!
Around a week ago I purchased
OMEN Gaming Laptop 16-ap0053dx
Everything was working well except for the mucrophine, it was impossible to turn it on. I tried to install realtek drivers, there were 2 types for rysen 9, one of them opened the mic, but didn't catch a sound. I took my laptop to the programmer he reinstalled W11 to W10, tried other drivers and only one of them worked.
But first! My system is half Turkish now (I am currently in Istanbul) and half Russian. It is confusing and really annoying, cause my setting search box is not working in russion even when i changed language EVEWRYWHERE to russian.
I need your help with reseting my laptop and make my microphone work, cause I've tried every single thing possible.
Thank you so much

Hi @Ciel222222,
Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
I understand your OMEN 16-ap0053dx laptop microphone isn’t working, and your system language settings are inconsistent. Let’s go through steps to reset your laptop and restore proper microphone functionality.
Backup Important Data
Before any major reset, ensure all your important files are backed up to an external drive or cloud storage.
Reset Windows 11
Go to Settings → System → Recovery → Reset this PC → Remove everything (this will reinstall Windows 11 fresh).
Choose Cloud download for the latest version of Windows 11 to ensure the system is up to date.
This will also reset language settings to your preferred choice.
Set Language Correctly
During reset, select your preferred display language (Russian or Turkish).
After reset, go to Settings → Time & Language → Language & Region to confirm system, keyboard, and regional formats are consistent.
This should resolve the issue with search boxes not recognizing the language.
Update Windows & Drivers
After reset, run Windows Update to install all latest updates.
Use HP Support Assistant to detect and install all recommended drivers automatically, especially audio drivers.
Install Correct Microphone Driver
For your Ryzen-based OMEN, ensure you install the Realtek Audio driver for Windows 11 specifically for your model from HP’s support page.
Avoid older drivers or drivers for Windows 10, as they may cause conflicts.
Check Microphone Settings
Go to Settings → System → Sound → Input and select the correct microphone.
Test the mic using the Test your microphone function.
I hope this helps.
