Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi all. I have a HP Envy x360 Convertible. Processor Intel Core i5-7200U CPU @ 2.50GHz, 2712 Mhz, 2 Cores. Is it possible to update the motherboard to make it compatible with Windows 11?

Any help is much appreciated

Thanks

@770508,

Welcome to our HP Community forum!

Even if it was possible to find a compatible motherboard with a W11 supported processor -which is unlikely to begin with, it wouldn't be cost effective as such a motherboard would likely be pricey.

There is a much easier -not to say, far less expensive alternative.

You see, if you like your laptop, there are a number of reliable and effective methods developed which would allow you to almost effortlessly upgrade your laptop to Windows 11 in non-supported hardware, such as this easy-to-follow YouTube instructional video shows: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lSrmhhigEhY&t=332s&ab_channel=Tips2Fix.

In the off-chance you don't like W11, you have 10 days to roll back to Windows 10. After 10 days, unless you follow the steps outlined in this instructional video, you may need to do a fresh install of Windows 10. Either way, this video will show you what to do: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2v9_-4JCh_U&ab_channel=Tips2Fix.
