Hi @Ashifali144,
Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
I understand your MS Office 2021 Home cannot be installed after upgrading your laptop to Windows 11. Let’s go through steps to resolve this.
1. Verify Windows 11 Compatibility
MS Office 2021 is fully compatible with Windows 11, so the upgrade itself should not block installation.
2. Check for Existing Office Installations
Go to Settings → Apps → Installed apps.
If any older Office versions are listed (Office 2016, 2019, or trial versions), uninstall them completely.
Restart your laptop before trying to reinstall.
3. Use the Official Installation Method
Sign in to https://www.office.com/setup or https://account.microsoft.com/services/ using the Microsoft account linked to your Office 2021 license.
Enter the product key provided with your laptop.
Download and run the installer from Microsoft directly.
4. Run Installer as Administrator
Right-click the downloaded installer → Run as administrator.
This ensures Windows 11 doesn’t block installation due to permissions.
5. Disable Antivirus / Firewall Temporarily
Some antivirus programs can block installation.
Temporarily disable your antivirus or firewall while installing Office.
Re-enable it immediately after installation.
6. Use Microsoft Support & Repair Tool
If installation still fails, download the Microsoft Support and Recovery Assistant (SaRA):
https://support.microsoft.com/office/uninstall-office-from-a-pc-9dd49b83-264a-477a-8fcc-2fdf5dbf61d8
This tool can remove leftover Office components and help reinstall Office properly.
I hope this helps.
