HP Omen Laptop 15
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello,

I’ve been using my HP Omen Laptop for almost 3 years now, but I’ve noticed that the battery won’t charge past 68%. Performance wise, it works fine and is a big laggy sometimes (probably due to age and also chrome). I ran many tests using HP’s software and even updated the BIOS, and it said that the battery fuse has been blown and has to be fixed.

What do I do? Does the broken battery affect the health of my laptop if I keep using it like this? How do I get it fixed? The battery does not appear to be detachable, so that probably means I have to get a new laptop altogether. Please help.

Hi @Viora

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

As this is a hardware issue, I'd suggest you Contact HP in your region regarding the service options for your computer.

If you are having trouble navigating through the above options, it's most likely because the device is out of warranty. If yes? please send me a private message with the region you are contacting us from. Check next to your profile Name, you should see a little blue envelope, please click on it.

Have a great day!
