Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Okay. To start off. I play video games and edit pictures. I have searched the internet far and wide for weeks now and I have calibrated my display countless times. My laptop display is HORRIBLE. The quality is fine, sure, but the colours make me want to scream. To put it simply: I am helpless and I've resorted to asking a forum.

Now, you may be wondering 'Random teenager on the internet, what have you tried so far?', but don't fret! I'm here to tell you;
- I've calibrated my display colours, contrast settings, and brightness. No use.
- I've messed with the resolution. No use.
- I stared longingly at my screen hoping that I could somehow change it with telekinesis. No use.
- I've messed around with the Radeon Software settings to see if I could replicate the colours on my second monitor, and I messed around with Nvidia settings to see if I could do the same but with the colours on my laptop monitor. No use.
- I asked the universe. No use.
- I've searched the internet for someone who knows how to help my sorry soul with this cruel issue. No use.
- And lastly! I cried over it like the little baby I am, and guess what? BINGO! It was no use.

I'm kinda running out of options here. I also play Minecraft and the colours aren't bright enough, and that reminds me that I'm growing up and the world might not ever look saturated again, just like my computer screen.

Like the great photographer I am, I took a picture of the comparison between my two screens. So take a gander at this lovely photo featuring my favourite pen and a giant Toblerone bar.

I don't know how I put up with this for a year, but I like to say that I deal with the problems life throws at me, so ALAS! No more procrastination! Even if that rule does not apply to anything else in my life!

Please help me! I hate this so much!
I also don't want to resort to asking Reddit.

Thank you for posting on HP Support Community.

To get the answer to this question, there are many factors that can make your image look different from the screen you designed it on (brightness, calibration, light from the environment)

Firstly, perform Windows Update and HP Support Assistant: (do not skip any troubleshooting steps if you feel steps are repeating)

To check for updates now, select the Start button, and then go to Settings  > Update & security  > Windows Update, and select Check for updates.

Install updates from HP Support Assistant: Go to Download HP Support Assistant to install the tool.

  1. To open HP Support Assistant, double-click the HP Support Assistant icon https://support.hp.com/doc-images/932/c05040382.jpg.
  2. Click My devices in the top menu, and then click Updates in the My PC or My notebook pane.
  3. Click Check for updates and messages to scan for new updates.
  4. Review the list of updates. Updates with a yellow information icon are recommended. Updates with a blue information icon are optional.
  5. Click the update name for a description, version number, and file size.
  6. Select the box next to any updates you want to install, and then click Download and install.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.
