GPU is stuck in P8 state after an overclock crash. I’ve updated BIOS to F.88, reset EC, and reinstalled drivers. GPU is hard-locked at 300 MHz. Can you perform an EC or GPU firmware reset to unlock normal performance?”

@dr1p_, Welcome to HP Support Community,

Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue

Full Power Reset

Turn off the laptop.

Unplug it and hold the power button for 30 seconds to 1 minute.

Plug it back in and turn it on.

Reset BIOS

Restart the laptop and press Esc or F10 to enter BIOS.

Select Load Defaults or Restore Defaults.

Save and exit.

Adjust Power Settings

Go to Control Panel > Power Options and select High Performance.

In Device Manager, right-click your GPU > Properties, and uncheck Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power.

I hope this helps.

Please feel free to reply here if you have any questions or if you need further clarification on any of the steps.

Take care and have a good day.
