i was playing a game, specifically monster hunter world and i was low battery so i plugged the charger it. a few moments later, it shutted down. i didn't know if it charged when i plugged the charger so dont know if it's due to low battery or smth else. after that, the laptop wont charge and turn on. the charging indicator light doesn't turn on also.

@Marco1724, Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I understand how frustrating it must be when your HP Victus 15 won’t power on or charge, especially after gaming. Let’s walk through some steps to help diagnose and hopefully resolve the issue.

Check the Power Adapter and Wall Outlet

  • Ensure the power adapter is securely connected to both the laptop and the wall outlet.
  • Try a different wall outlet to rule out power supply issues.
  • If available, test with another compatible HP charger to see if the charging light turns on.

Perform a Hard Reset

This can help clear any hardware lockups:

  1. Disconnect the charger.
  2. Press and hold the power button for 15 seconds.
  3. Reconnect the charger and try turning the laptop on.

Inspect the Charging Port and LED

  • Check for any visible damage or debris in the charging port.
  • If the charging LED doesn’t light up at all, it could indicate a hardware issue with the charging circuit or motherboard.

Try a BIOS Recovery (if applicable)

If the laptop is completely unresponsive, try this:

  1. Turn off the laptop.
  2. Press and hold Windows + B keys, then press and hold the power button for 2-3 seconds.
  3. Release the power button but continue holding Windows + B for another 10 seconds.
  4. If successful, the BIOS recovery screen should appear.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
