My Victus laptop recognized the USB-C port for video streaming yesterday, but now it no longer recognizes the monitor. I've updated the drivers, BIOS firmware, and everything else, and I can't find a solution.

Hi @guacho1,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.
Since your Victus by HP 16.1" (16-d0000) laptop was previously recognizing the USB-C video output and now it isn’t, and you’ve already updated drivers and BIOS, here’s a structured approach to troubleshoot:
1. BIOS Restore:
1) Shut down the computer, keep the charger plugged in
2) Hold down the Windows and B buttons together while the computer is still turned off.
3) Turn on the computer and continue to hold the Windows and B buttons until a BIOS Recovery screen appears.
4) Follow the on-screen instructions and click on OK.
2. Test the External Monitor and Cable
- Try another USB-C to HDMI/DisplayPort cable, if available.
- Test the monitor with another device to rule out hardware issues.
- Plug the cable in while the laptop is on, and then reboot with the monitor connected.
3. Reset Graphics and USB-C Controller
Sometimes, the graphics driver and USB controller can get into a bad state:
- Press Windows + Ctrl + Shift + B — this resets your graphics driver. You’ll hear a beep and the screen will flash.
- Fully shut down the laptop (not restart), then wait 60 seconds and boot again.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.

None of them worked and I already tried the cable, it works perfectly, I tested it with my cell phone and another laptop and it did give an image, I also tried to downgrade to Windows 10 and it also didn't recognize the monitor, it's that directly when I connect the monitor via USB-C it doesn't even detect it, that is, it doesn't do anything with this laptop, I don't know what else to do...
