I checked using a hardware monitor app that my peak GPU consumption is 88 watts, and my peak CPU consumption is 42 while gaming. That means that both use 130 watts. My power supply is 200W, how it happens that my laptop is uncharging, and after several hours battery can even go down to 50%? I have nothing connected to USB ports, except a mouse and headphones, no external monitors, nothing. I tried to find the issue through HP Diagnostic tools and Assistance and they showed no issues, all tests have been passed successfully. Can someone help me? It just does not add up, 70 watts are not enough for the rest of the laptop internals? And I specified only peak values, average is even lower like 100W for both GPU and CPU. And if this is a ”feature”, can I disable it?

[PARTIALLY SELFSOLVED] Thanks HP Community, thanks to anyone here for 0 replies. After several days of waiting, had to call НР Suрроrt to find out that even they do not know how can my battery drain while my laptop is plugged in and suggested sending it for repair. I was too lazy to send it for repair, so I figured it out by myself. Anyone who has the same problem: it IS actually a ”feature” by HP, which can be disabled in BIOS. Enter the BIOS (press F10 when you start up your laptop), go to Configuration, and set HP Battery Optimisation to Disable. It is so a cool ”feature” that after 3 hours of gaming, my battery level can easily go down to 50%, and what if I need to use my laptop unplugged after I play for some hours? Of course, nobody cares. I had a Lenovo Y520 before I bought an HP Victus, and the Lenovo laptop was plugged in constantly, and its battery was like new after 4 years without having these modern ”features”. Hope my post helped somebody in the end.
