Thanks for reassurance. I'll do a good reply if my laptop does in fact accepts the two 16gb Corsair Vengeance ram sticks.

Anytime.

Hopefully, it will work just fine.

A reply two days later to you, Paul, I still didn't bought the ram but... Corsair Vengeance is a maybe but what about Crucial? Same specs, two 16 gb ram sticks, DDR4, 3200MHz, CL22. Will that do? Just saying since I might chance my mind.

HP Recommended

The Crucial memory should be fine if it is 2Rx8.

The problem with the part number they have for the 16 GB DDR4-3200 chip is folks have reported they got 1Rx8, 2Rx8 and even 1Rx16 with the same part number.

1Rx16 would be really doubtful it would work.

So for short it's more recommended to buy Crucial then Corsair Vengeance for my laptop? I even looked up to their website and it was compatible with my HP model, just that it doesn't say if it's 2Rx8 or 1Rx16 or something else.

If its any consolation Crucial guarantees compatibility if you buy a module they list on their website as compatible with your specific model. All that means is that they will refund your money or replace if it does not work, but that's at least something. They also do testing to support their compatibility claim so usually correct.

Got it. I'm seeing it right now on their 16 gb ram stick since I want to upgrade from 8GB to 32GB ram.

And it looks like it mentions "2Rx8/1Rx8" does that mean something in terms of compatibility?

It means you will not be getting 1Rx16 memory which as @Paul_Tikkanen says is highly unlikely to work. 2Rx8 would be best (most likely to work) but 1Rx8 likely OK. As I said Crucial will usually test it before they claim it will work in your specific model. Good luck.

Thank you. That's the answer I was looking for since I just want to reduce lag and find the right ram sticks while not frying my laptop.

So it might not work in 2Rx8 since I'm upgrading instantly to 32 gb with the right budget, but at least I won't get 1Rx16 at all or very low chance.

Oh and if I get 1Rx8 on both 16gb ram sticks? It won't be much of a problem for me as long as the lag is pretty much reduced and my laptop could boot even with that on 32 gb. But thanks again. Both of you.
