Product: HP Pavilion g7 Notebook PC
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

So far i had this computer for quite awhile and only used it to play League of Legends and run C++ programs. All I know is that while charging my laptopand i noticed that in bottom right corner of my screen the battery symbol shows that im plugged in for charging and has an X on the battery itself. All i ask is for a solution to my problem is all and i hope this community can help me. For anyone who can help me I wish you a great future and gratitude towards you.

It helps us if you would include the full product number, so we know exactly what you have.

If you have the HP Support Assistant installed, run it and find the product number of the laptop.

 

Sounds like your battery has reached it end of life if its an old Windows 7 laptop.

If you laptop has a newer version of the HP Support Assistant, there should be a Diagnostics section with a battery check under Troubleshooting and fixes.

Can you run that to see what it says?
