My newly purchased computer started experiencing a glitch issue within the first month of purchase. The glitch randomly occurs whenever I browse the web, especially while watching videos. Sometimes, it happens once a week, and other times, several times in a single day. Restarting the computer temporarily fixes the issue, but the glitch reappears randomly afterward.

This issue has been troubling me for quite some time. I’ve contacted HP representatives multiple times and followed their suggestions to reinstall both Windows 11 and Windows 10, trying each system separately. Unfortunately, the problem persists. After running several diagnostics, they informed me that it is most likely a hardware issue. Therefore, I would like to request a replacement for this laptop, as it is still under warranty.

I purchased this laptop from Best Buy, but they informed me that it is beyond their service period and that warranty claims are handled by HP directly. Hence, I am reaching out to request a claim number so that I can proceed with the replacement.

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

I'm sorry to hear about the issues you're experiencing with your HP computer. Given the nature of the problem, it sounds like it could be related to several factors such as drivers, software compatibility, or hardware malfunctions. Here are a few steps you could try to troubleshoot the issue:

  1. Update Drivers and Software:

    • Ensure that your graphics drivers and system software are up to date. You can do this via the HP Support Assistant or by visiting the HP website.
    • Update all relevant software, including your web browser, to the latest version.
  2. Check for Hardware Issues:

    • Run a hardware diagnostic using HP's in-built diagnostic tools to check for any hardware malfunctions.
  3. Browser and Internet Settings:

    • Try using a different web browser to see if the issue persists across different platforms.
    • Check your internet connection for stability issues.
  4. Operating System Updates:

    • Make sure your operating system is up to date. Sometimes, updates can fix underlying compatibility or performance issues.
  5. Factory Reset or Recovery Options:

    • As a last resort, consider performing a factory reset or using recovery options to restore your system to default settings. Ensure you back up your data before doing this.

Hope this helps!

Take care, and have an amazing day!
