i have my laptop from like 2 and half years, and from 2 years i was having the same problem with the same game (Elden Ring) and with the new DLC i have the same problem now.
the CPU getting to hot while play the game even with fans at max the temperature is between 89 and 94 while gaming even if the setting on low,
in idle use or on Desktop the temperature is 70 or above (while bluged in) i didn't test it on battery.
I installed all the drivers for CPU and for the BIOS and I clean the laptop from dust with air prucher device and the heat is still above 90 while gaming and in idle use
and for the GPU it's above 70 while gaming
i want to ask what seems to be the problem ? because now I'm having the same problem nearly with every game.
Note: i didn't change the thermal paste yet and i didn't do a deep clean for the laptop.
My laptop requirements:
CPU: Ryzen 7 5800h
GPU: Nvidia RTX 3060
RAM: 16 GB
Hard : SSD NVME m.2 512 GB

Hi @Nero1235,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It sounds like your HP Omen 15 is struggling with thermal management, which can impact performance and longevity. Here are a few potential causes and solutions for the overheating issue.
Potential Causes
- Thermal Paste Degradation: Over time, thermal paste between the CPU/GPU and heatsinks can degrade, reducing its effectiveness. This can lead to higher temperatures.
- Dust and Debris: Even though you’ve used an air puffer, there might still be dust accumulation inside that could block airflow or affect cooling.
- Cooling System Efficiency: The cooling system might not be performing optimally. This includes the fans and heatsinks.
- Driver/Software Issues: Even with updated drivers, some software conflicts or inefficiencies might contribute to overheating.
- High Ambient Temperature: If the environment where you use the laptop is warm, it could exacerbate the overheating issue.
- Background Processes: Unnecessary background processes or programs can put extra load on the CPU, contributing to higher temperatures.
Potential Solutions
- Replace Thermal Paste: Consider reapplying thermal paste. This can significantly improve thermal performance. Ensure you use high-quality thermal paste and follow proper application techniques.
- Deep Clean: Perform a more thorough cleaning of the laptop. This involves disassembling the laptop (if you're comfortable) to clean out dust from the fans, heatsinks, and vents.
- Check Cooling System: Verify that the fans are working correctly and that there’s no obstruction to airflow. You might also consider using a cooling pad to help with airflow.
- Manage Background Processes: Check for unnecessary programs running in the background that might be using CPU resources. Use Task Manager or similar tools to monitor and manage these processes.
- Update BIOS/Firmware: Ensure your BIOS is up-to-date. Sometimes BIOS updates can improve thermal management.
- Adjust Power Settings: Adjust your power settings to balance performance and cooling. You can set your power plan to a balanced mode instead of high performance, which might help in reducing heat.
- Environmental Factors: Ensure that the laptop is used on a hard, flat surface to promote better airflow. Avoid using it on soft surfaces like beds or couches that can block vents.
- GPU Overheating: Since the GPU is also heating up, ensure that the GPU drivers are updated and consider checking if the GPU’s thermal paste needs replacement.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.

All of this is understood and i appreciate that you try to help me and give me a solution.
but i want a solution for the long term and don't require paying money every now and then.
i know this is major problem in laptops but when the average temperature being is 95 this is bad on the long terms of use.
i found a half solution and it is to set the CPU boost from Aggressive to Disable.
i don't know why in battery settings it was set to Aggressive this hole time and i can't even edit it i was need to go to register editor and change some value to make it appear in battery settings.
maybe it's because of omen gaming hub app
and now i have a second problem with omen gaming hub app i update the app for the latest version and unfortunately this update have more problems than before every 5 hours or so the app give me a error message and says something like this "some futures have stopped you need to restart your pc" and when i open the app is appears that the performance control menu don't work or the fans stick to 0 speed so i need another solution now for this problem
