@Caden9, Hello and welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for posting your question. I'm here to help you get things back on track.

A buzzing noise from your OMEN computer, especially when accompanied by a "self-repair" message, could indicate a hardware issue or a fan/motor anomaly. Let’s walk through some steps to identify and resolve the issue:

Identify the Source of the Buzzing

  • Is the noise coming from the fans, speakers, or internal components (like the PSU or GPU)?
  • Try to isolate the sound by listening near the vents or rear panel.

Run HP Hardware Diagnostics

HP OMEN PCs come with built-in diagnostics. Here's how to run them:

  • Turn off the PC.
  • Turn it back on and immediately press F2 repeatedly until the HP PC Hardware Diagnostics screen appears.
  • Select System Tests > Extensive Test and run it.

Check OMEN Gaming Hub for Alerts

  • Open OMEN Gaming Hub from the Start menu.
  • Check for any alerts or recommended actions under the System Vitals or Self Repair section.

Inspect for Dust or Loose Components

  • Power down and unplug the PC.
  • Open the side panel (if you're comfortable doing so).
  • Check for:
    • Dust buildup on fans or vents.
    • Loose cables or components.
    • Any signs of wear or damage.

Update BIOS and Drivers

Outdated firmware can cause hardware misbehavior.

  • Visit the HP Support site and enter your OMEN model number.
  • Download and install the latest BIOS, chipset, and graphics drivers.

If the issue persists after performing the above steps, then, please visit the nearest HP authorized service center, the service team will check and assist you.
Kindly follow this link to locate the nearest HP service center: HP® Service Center Locator - United States | HP® Support
(Select the country from the dropdown menu and enter the city name or pincode)

I hope the information shared has been useful and resolves your concern.

Wishing you a smooth and hassle-free experience ahead!
