Hp Pavilion Gaming 15-cx0063nu

So basically I bought my new laptop 3 days ago and I have had a problem. While playing games (Apex Legends, CS:GO) my screen out of nowhere turns black but my games are still running. When I read about this issue everybody was saying "its because of overheating" so I bought a cooler pad and placed it under my laptop but it didnt resolve the issue. The surface of my laptop (the place between the monitor and keyboard) gets REALLY hot but that isnt the issue right?!? Please help me

@DanielCampbell
Thank you for posting on the HP Support Community.

  • Have you checked with other games?
  • Does this happen while watching movies or videos?

Alternatively, right-click on your Windows 10 desktop, and select Personalize to open Personalization settings. Next click on Lock screen in the left pane. Scroll down the Lock Screen settings and click on screen timeout settings and change Power & Sleep time settings, Next click on Screen Saver Settings and change power settings then create new power and select balanced.

And, also run BIOS Update: Follow steps from the link: https://support.hp.com/in-en/document/c00042629

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.
