OK, this has been done before but I am becoming worried when seeing the other post. Near my hinge, there is a crack forming at the charging port and it's getting larger. Please, I want to know if there is a way to fix this. doubtful my warranty is still alive but this isn't a normal situation that should be happening. First, my label fell off and now this!
Is there a place where consumers can buy standard shells for laptops (specifically, this one is an HP OMEN laptop I got in 2016)? I've been looking around for a few days, and I'm honestly struggling into a weird situation where I don't even know what to look up. Is it called a laptop shell? Or is it a case or casing?
Are there better home solutions?
I'd like to know I need this for school and I don't want it to become a hazard.

I have brought your issue to the attention of an appropriate team within HP. They will likely request information from you in order to look up your case details or product serial number. Please look for a private message from an identified HP contact. Additionally, keep in mind not to publicly post personal information (serial numbers and case details).
If you are unfamiliar with how the Community's private message capability works, you can learn about that here.
