Product: OMEN by HP - 15-ce198wm

I need a replacement motherboard for HP omen CE198WM laptop which needs a L10770-001, L10770-501 but I can only find replacement for L10772-001 with the same description and specifications for L10770-501 Is it adviceable to go for that?

The specs of your machine is:

L10772-001 is for a system board which is  MOTHERBOARD DSC GTX 1050Ti 4GB i7-8750H

 L10770-501 is invalid

                      https://partsurfer.hp.com/partsurfer?searchtext=L10770-501

 

Actually the first one is NOT for your machine because  your machine has NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 1060 (6 GB GDDR5 dedicated). It is for some other Omen 15-CE1xxx machines. Your machine uses part # L10770-601 as shown

You can use  L10772-001 (GPU is not the same) above but you have to buy new Windows license.
