So my HDD died and I removed it and got a SDD M.2 Samsung 980Pro 1 TB and installed it but it doesn't seem to recognize it and I can't install Windows because of it ( USB Windows install I mean). I can access boot manager in BIOS but it doesn't appear either. HP Omen 15 model ce-00xx. What is the problem , what do I need to do?
Edit. Also it doesn't load the old HP diagnostic screen where I could test more stuff it only shows the black screen saying there is no bootable drive and to run diagnostics (options appear for memory and Drives only) and like I said I can enter the regular bios ( Aptio Setup Utility)?
Edit: Ok , I am doing a drive long dst check to see if eventually gets to the ssd m.2
Edit. So I ran the DST check and it passed but on drive 1 like it isnt recognizing the m.2 slot at all not even a bootable option or anything. Do I need to have a normal hard drive on the regular slot and then install m.2 drivers or something once I am in the OS? can't I just use m.2 as main and install OS there with the regular drive empty?
