I need a new hard drive for my gaming computer just put of warranty. I am just looking for a place to buy one. Does it have to specify that it is for this model number? Or will any hard drive do? Anyone have any links to buy?

Hello @Wellstin

Replacing the hard drive, depends on what type of drive it is. There are mechanical drives (HDD) and digital drives (NVMe, Sata M.2 and 2.5 inch Sata SSD).

Unless you post what the full model number or product number of your PC is, I cannot tell exactly what you have.

But the drive does not have to be labeled that it specifically works on an HP or a specific model number. They are universal that way.
