No Performance Control in Omen X 17-ap020nr???

Hi to all,

Im using Omen X ap020nr laptop and I have new updates in Omen Command Center v9.0.4.0.

But the problem is I don't have "Performance Mode" at all. I can't choose Defeat or Performance mod, and no fan speed.

How to fix this?  😞

Question as I don't have access to an Omen X....

Did your Omen X 17 only just get the Performance Control option listed in the latest Omen Command Center (OCC) updates recently?

Because according to the OCC chart, the 17- apXXX series doesn't include Performance Control.

But I did hear that recently the "Performance Control" section which can include Comfort Mode, Default Mode and Performance Mode,  will be rolling out on all Omen laptops that come with the OCC preinstalled, as it gets the new OCC versions.

But that Performance Mode only came with the newer 15-dgXXXX and 15-dcXXXX series that requires a 200W or larger charger.

When I buy my notebook Omen X I have some old OCC, I think V4. And they are option like Performance, Comfort mod...

One week before I gote new update v9.0.4.0 but no new option Performance Mod, no fan speed and etc... 

Yes I have very big charger because 1080 GPU in my laptop.

So you think we won't get this options just new Omen X laptops?

If you had it before, you shouldn't have it taken away. I just didn't think it had it at all in the beginning according to the chart.

Problem is, you're out of warranty I assume, correct?

If you're out of warranty, you cant contact Support for a warranty issue.

All I can do is mention it to the Mods and see if someone can help you out, as I cannot do anything for you.

As mentioned by @Photoray002 the Omen X 17-ap020nr doesn't come with Performance Mode/ Comfort Mode as per the HP Document

If you say the issue started after an update, try uninstalling the Omen Command Center from your computer, restart and then download the Omen Command Center from Microsoft Store. Link: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/p/omen-command-center/9nqdw009t0t5?activetab=pivot:overviewtab

Hi all,

My machine will be out of warranty in 2 weeks time. I don't play games and probably use few hours once a week to short out photos taken from 2001 (when I bought my first digital camera). I have not tried videos, just only photos with Photoshop.

My machine 15-dc0xxx series still has Performance Control and I still can open it
