HP Omen.
This morning there was a red X in the system tray next to the speaker icon. There are no updated drivers available for Intel High Definition Audio which is located in the "Other Devices".
During troubleshooting I was instructed to disable the audio device in the Sound and Audio Devices, Now there isn't even a Sound and audio listing in device manager anymore.
Cannot roll back any drivers and there doesn't sem to be any way to do a restore from a previous session.

Thanks, that did it.
I figured out (all on my own) that the reason the sound device wasn't showing up in Device Manager (after I uninstalled it) was because you have to select VIEW, Show Hidden Devices. Not sure what computer genius thought that was a good idea but from there I was able to install the driver I downloaded directly from RealTech.
That got me sound, but only from the speaker jack, not from the laptop's speakers.
Your download page got me even better drivers and now it's all it back to normal. I will bookmark that page.
NOTE: I DID NOT follow the directions on that page (uninstall, delete driver software, scan for hardware changes) but just downloaded the driver and installed it. The computer figured out the rest.
Thanks again!
