HP Pavilion Gaming - 15-ec0062ax

I am having an GetForce GTX 1050 4Gb graphiccard in my pavilion laptop. I am unable to view my graphic card in task manager and also I am unable to open my NVIDIA Control panel. I have manually installed the latest drivers from NVIDIA website -https://www.nvidia.com/download/index.aspx and https://www.nvidia.com/en-in/geforce/drivers/ but still I face this error. Screenshot below for reference.

Hi @MVS_Abhiram,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

The "Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43)" error message usually indicates that there is an issue with the hardware or drivers of a specific device in your computer. In your case, it's related to the Nvidia graphics card in your HP Pavilion Gaming laptop.

Here are some steps you can try to resolve the issue.

Restart your Computer: Sometimes a simple restart can resolve driver-related issues.

Update Graphics Drivers: Outdated or corrupt graphics drivers can cause this error. Visit the official Nvidia website and download the latest drivers for your graphics card. Install them and see if the issue is resolved.

Roll Back Drivers: If you recently updated your graphics drivers and the problem started occurring afterward, try rolling back to the previous version of the drivers. Sometimes new driver updates can introduce compatibility issues.

Uninstall and Reinstall Drivers: Completely uninstall the current graphics drivers and then reinstall the latest drivers. You can do this through the Device Manager:

  • Right-click on the Start button and select "Device Manager."
  • Expand the "Display adapters" section, right-click on your Nvidia graphics card, and select "Uninstall device."
  • After uninstalling, restart your computer and install the latest drivers again.

Use Windows Update: Sometimes Windows Update can offer driver updates that might help resolve compatibility issues. Check for Windows updates and install any relevant updates.

Check for System Updates: Ensure that your operating system is up-to-date with the latest updates and patches.

Check for Hardware Issues: Sometimes the issue might be hardware-related. Ensure that your graphics card is properly seated in its slot and that all connections are secure.

Test on Another System: If possible, test the Nvidia graphics card on another computer. This can help determine whether the issue is with the card itself.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
