Good morning and thank you in advance for reviewing my post.  I have an OMEN laptop that won't boot so I'm trying to perform a system recovery using the HP Cloud Recovery Tool.  I created the bootable USB media, insert it, and boot the the USB drive.  The screen shows the OMEN logo and the little dots begin to circle for about one minute, then the dots stop circling and the system freezes.  I have tried multiple attempts with no success.

I have run system diagnostics and all tests seem to pass, although the HD test runs extremely fast.  

 

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Yes I was.  In this case I actually ended up downloading the full diagnostics that I could run with a USB boot disk.  I ran HD diagnostics and the short and long DST tests failed.  I replaced the drive and I was able to restore the system using the cloud recovery tool.
