Hi @TundraWrath,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

I’m sorry you’re going through this; I understand the concern and don’t worry I’ll help you with this.

To better understand the issue, could you please provide a few more details?

When you plug in the charger while the laptop is on, do you see any charging icon or LED activity, or is it completely unresponsive?

Have you tested with the spare HP charger

Did this start after a Windows update or BIOS update, or was it completely random?

Here are a few troubleshooting steps worth trying:

  •  Hard reset: Disconnect the charger, hold down the power button for 30–60 seconds, then reconnect and try again.
  •  Check charging LED: On Omen laptops, the charging LED near the DC jack can give clues (steady vs. blinking). If it blinks, note the pattern  - it often indicates a hardware fault.
  •  Test with different charger/cable: Even if diagnostics say fine, sometimes the charger or cable doesn’t negotiate properly with the laptop’s power delivery. Try the original HP adapter if available.
  •  Battery calibration: In BIOS, look for battery calibration or reset options. Running this can sometimes restore proper charging behaviour.
  •  BIOS reset: Enter BIOS setup (F10 at boot) and restore defaults. A corrupted power setting can cause charging issues.
  • · Disable fast startup: In Windows Power Options > Choose what the power buttons do, disable fast startup. This sometimes interferes with charging logic.

I hope this helps

I'm glad I could help! 😊 If this resolved your issue, please mark it as "Accepted Solution" and click "Yes" on "Was this reply helpful?" Your feedback not only keeps us going but also helps others find the solution faster!
