OMEN by HP 16.1 inch Gaming Laptop PC 16-xd0000 (758R2AV)

Good afternoon!
OMEN 16 laptop speakers wheeze and crackle, it is clearly audible, for example, when playing default sounds of windows 11 (when logging in or changing the volume level).
I took it to the service center, they wrote that they changed the speakers, but the problem remains.
Question: is this a common problem? Is there any solution? Or do I have to take it to the service center again?

@OM_MEN, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your Omen 16 laptop speakers faking as issue!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

I'm sorry to hear that you're still experiencing crackling and wheezing sounds from your OMEN 16 laptop even after the speakers were replaced. That does sound frustrating.

While this isn’t a widely reported issue, it’s important to rule out any software-related causes before considering further hardware intervention. Here are a few things you could try:

  1. Update Audio Drivers – Ensure that your audio drivers are up to date. You can do this through the HP Support Assistant or directly from the HP website.
  2. Run Audio Troubleshooter – Open the Windows Troubleshooter (Settings > System > Sound > Troubleshoot) to check for any software conflicts.
  3. Check Audio Enhancements – Sometimes disabling audio enhancements can help. Go to Sound Settings > Device Properties > Additional Device Properties > Enhancements and try turning them off.
  4. BIOS Update – Ensure that your BIOS is updated to the latest version from the HP website.

If none of these steps work, I’d recommend checking back with the service center. Since they’ve already replaced the speakers, they might need to take a closer look at the internal connections or the audio chipset.

Let me know how it goes — happy to help if you need more support!

Take care, and have an amazing day!
