Hi, I have 17 Omen on the way and want to add some storage and add another 16gb ram module.

 

Does anyone know what ssd (hopefully a vacant m.2) are available? 

Also what ram modules would be an easy plug and play for the 2nd unoccupied ram slot? is there any widely accepted brand that works well with the stock supplied modules.

It has ONE M.2 slot and already is occupied by   512 GB PCIe® NVMe™ M.2 SSD.  It has a spare bay for 2.5" SATA HDD/SSD but  you need more parts (cable/connector)  as mentioned on page 35 of the manual
