We cant. Microsoft is in control of app updates as per regulations of them. We do not have access to older versions any longer.

I found this. But it is on OMEN 15-CE000 series, do you think it will work?

Or I install an older BIOS version that does not include comfort mode. This means a lower version than F.06.

That added comfort mode, I dont see how it would add back performance mode.

But I would wait to see what HP tells me this week first, before I started reinstalling bios's.

Flashing a bios is a whole different thing from updating Windows. If something goes wrong during the flash, you could brick the whole system. Its up to you.

I was wondering if canceling the comfort mode would change the OCC mode menu. And then I wondered if the reinstallation will not restore both comfort and performance modes.

You are right.  Playing with BIOS are dangerous. I don't know if downgrade is easy to install?

How many power modes do you have? Two or three?

Or what type of processor and graphics do you have? And how many modes do you have in Omen Command Center (OCC)?

because no one writes, so here I will write a list of the configuration other users have:

1. I5 8300H , Nvidia 1050: two modes in OCC

2. I7 8750H, Nvidia 1050Ti: two modes in OCC

3. I7 8750H, Nvidia 1070: three modes in OCC

Sorry everyone, It is really hard to get an answer from HP half the time and I have asked again. Still waiting.

It would appear though that the modes are based on what graphics card is installed.

I have the same laptop and I just learned there is a option as performance,  I don't have it too I guess this model doesnt have it...

I got a brief message from another person at HP who looked into it on his own. He couldn't get a confirmation exactly but said the modes available are based on the hardware you have installed. There was no list telling us what hardware gave what modes. But he seemed to think it was based on the CPU installed, then graphics.

Bottom line answer I got was, what ever is available on your system via the command center, is what its going to have and cannot be changed.

I did explain that the Omen Knowledge base article explaining the options per mode needed to be changed to reflect the fact that Performance Mode is NOT Standard in all models that offer a performance control option.

I dont know if that will get passed on to the right department or not.
