OMEN by HP 17t-an100
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Upon updating my OMEN Command Center on the Windows Store (App Store), the app itself no longer opens on my 17t-an100. I also, tried uninstalling it, and downloading the SDK and files from the drivers page for my laptop PC and still no avail.

oh well.....oh well.....

rebooting my PC does nothing, except unpin the OMEN Command Center from the taskbar, and all the details the Windows Store says is "This app can't run on your PC. To find a version for your PC, check with the software publisher."

Just before I had installed the update, the OMEN Command Center warned me that my "OMEN PC" was not supported by this version of the OMEN Command Center. So I thought that it was just in need of an update (though I update it all the time.... literally each time I turn my back to it, there's another update for it of over 200MB.)

--EDIT--

The OMEN Command Center key no longer functions, nor does Fn + OCC (that's supposed to do the "HOME" function, but no longer does.)

@GSynergy
Thank you for posting on the HP Support Community.

Don’t worry, I assure you I will try my best to get this sorted.

I recommend you update the command center from Windows store and check whether it resolves the issue.

Here is how it is done:

  1. Click the Windows Store icon in the system tray.
  2. Search for OMEN Command Center.
  3. Click Update. Wait while the program downloads and installs.
  4. Click Play.

OMEN Command Center opens.

If you continue to face the issue, I recommend you follow the steps in the below article and check if it helps: https://support.hp.com/in-en/document/c05387497

Let me know how it goes and you have a great day!

Method one did not work, however upon viewing the link your provided: I saw a device cmpatibility table, that shows which models are compatible with the OMEN Command Center... Unfortunately, it seems that my model isn't compatible with the the aforementioned application.

OMEN by HP 17t-anxxx missing from list, while showing OMEN by HP 17-anxxx, this model /and device differs from the 17t-anxxx.OMEN by HP 17t-anxxx missing from list, while showing OMEN by HP 17-anxxx, this model /and device differs from the 17t-anxxx.

OMEN Command Center used to work for accessories, and I relied on it to tune my MINDFRAME Headset's audio, cooling and lighting. However, after this last update, it's no bueno. (not okay)

[Just as a separate note, when the OCC worked, my Macro Keys couldn't be configured due to the program simply would not take the custom hotkeys or changes into affect. The Macro Keys to my understanding are for decoration only, since they didn't work on my last model out of the box either, nor this one. Also, no other options were available when  the OCC was working, other than just for the accessories. No system vitals, no performance modes, no network booster, no lighting {despite me  building and ordering my original unit with an RGB and not receiving that, but the "Dragon Red Legendary" keyboard, and later leaning the option was removed from the configure site shortly after), and no update management.]
