Covered the camera up with my finger to make it more visible.

Not sure why it is showing up. Anyone got a solution?

That very prominent white line is static (always in the same spot, not moving and not flickering)

If so, it might be a loose cable connection between the camera and motherboard. Otherwise I think the only solution would be to replace the webcam, which is not a simple task. You might consider using a much better USB webcam instead.
