OMEN Laptop - 15-en0002ax
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Display goes black randomly.  Mostly when playing videos.  Not having the issue when playing games.  But only when doing light to medium activities .  So I doubt the problem is with Radeon(TM) Graphics. First mouse pointer hangs. Then display goes black.  Machine will continue in ON state.

Graphics :
AMD Radeon(TM) Graphics
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 Ti

Any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance

Hi@idiode,

Welcome to the HP Support Community! I'd like to help!

I see you are experiencing issues with the HP OMEN Laptop Display goes black randomly.

I have a few recommendations

  • Update your Notebook computer to the latest BIOS from HP.COM.
  • Make sure the Windows and HP support assistant updates are up to date.
  • Try updating the NVIDIA GeForce drivers.
  • You can do Reset PC Keep my files from windows and check if it works.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
