Hi @Jimcol1950,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If your HP Omen 15 laptop is emitting a high-pitched noise from the charger port even after it's turned off and the charger cable has been disconnected, there are a few potential reasons for this issue. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot and potentially resolve the problem.

  • Check for Dust or Debris: Inspect the charger port for any dust or debris that may be causing a connection issue. Use compressed air to blow out any particles that may be lodged in the port.
  • Test with a Different Charger: Try using a different charger that is compatible with your HP Omen 15 laptop. If the high-pitched noise persists with a different charger, the issue may be with the laptop itself.
  • Update Drivers and BIOS: Ensure that your laptop's drivers and BIOS are up to date. Visit the official HP support website, enter your laptop model, and download and install the latest drivers and BIOS updates.
  • Check Power Settings: Go to your laptop's power settings and check if there are any settings related to power management that could be causing the issue. Adjust the power settings to see if there is any impact on the noise.
  • Electrical Interference: Ensure that there are no other electronic devices nearby that could be causing interference. Sometimes, electronic devices can emit signals that interfere with the power supply.
  • Hardware Issue: If the high-pitched noise persists, there may be a hardware issue with the laptop's power circuitry.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
