Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Bought a new OMEN for my wife for Christmas in December 2019.   Last week, she was using it, left for a few minutes and when she came back the screen had gone black.  She tried to wake it up - no luck.  We tried the power adapter - no luck.  No lights, nothing to indicate the was any power.

Took it to an authorized HP service center and they said it was the motherboard and also that they could not get that motherboard to replace.  Warranty expired on Jan 14th  - just our luck.  Have found out since that these motherboard issues are not rare.  If we had only known.....

Welcome to the HP Support Community. I'd be happy to assist you with the replacement motherboard. 

 

You may order the replacement parts on the HP Parts Store, use the HP Parts Surfer to find the part number and If you've already looked for it and couldn't find it on the HP Parts Store, you may want to get it locally at the online store such as Amazon or eBay, etc...as the part numbers are universal. 

  

Alternatively, I suggest you talk to HP support and discuss your options, follow the below steps to get started: 

  

1) Click on this link

2) Click on Sign-in or select the product using the below step: 

3) Enter the serial of your device. 

4) Select the country from the drop-down. 

5) Click on "Show Options". Fill the web-form, to populate a case number and phone number for yourself!
