What a lucky Guy.

The problem is that Hp do not care about their customers. They do not provide any updated version of the Bios.

If you contact the support team, they as you to send the computer back.

I've also got the same problem here Omen 15 Ryzen 4800H gtx 2060, annoyingly audible fan noise at idle with all temps below 40C Do I need to sit outside in the snow to use this laptop silently?

Hi, Omen Gaming Hub software seem buggy because when you uninstall it (or remove HP service) from windows, fans are very quiet now. I will write batch script to enable or disable HP service to control fan speed by disabling these. With this your computer will ne very quiet because fan dosent turn on until CPU temp reach about 60°C. Watching YouTube or typing text its now great ... but HP engeneer  need to fix it !! It's shame !

I found a workaround for this issue using nbfc

I also have the zenpower module enabled in linux, so it required recompiling nbfc with this workaround https://github.com/hirschmann/nbfc/issues/1096#issuecomment-801477819

@kp2345, many thanks for the hint, I was looking for a nbfc profile since months!!!!  I just installed and loaded omen15 profile, my fans just got quiet!!

Hi,

I installed NoteBook FanControl. But Fan control service status chages automatically every second from Disabled to Read-Only to Disabled and so on.

It is a normal behaviour ?

@Nikkos92, no issues on my omen15, take a look at the Visual C++ versions and eventually try to update/downgrade them
