Omen 15 2020 charger getting very hot

I have the Intel version of 2020 omen laptop i7 10750h with GTX 1650ti and FHD 144Hz.

The charger only gets warm or slightly hot when playing 3D games with low resource requirements - in my case usually Left 4 Dead 2 with plays at max settings no problem. However if I try to run a game that is more resource intensive, for example Outlast II, No Mans Sky or DOOM at high settings the charger gets so hot that I can only bare hold it couple seconds. I get high to full FPS, no lags at 144hz and usually have 1 to 2 hour gaming sessions. laptop thermals are fine also.

I did some digging on google and my issue seems to be because the charger is having trouble supplying enough power to the laptop. If this is true it makes sense since it only happens in demanding games. The charger I got is rated 150w at about 19 volts and 7.3 amps. A mobile gtx 1650ti can suck up to 80 watts of power and the cpu I have up to 45 watts so at max they would draw 125watts. this would only leave 25 watts to run the rest of the laptop components while charging the battery as-well. I know that laptops draw power from their battery as well if needed when plugged in, and its worth mentioning my battery still charges when gaming, and that I have slightly undervolted the cpu in command center - which helps the laptop thermals but not the charger's. So my theory is that the charger is borderline enough for this hungry laptop and overheats when laptop needs more power. I'm thinking of getting a 200w charger online - which aren't cheap - unless HP can help.

Anyone else have this issue? Does hp replace chargers for higher power ones? Would a higher wattage solve the overheating?

Yes, a higher capacity charger will definitely help. However, I recommend you update the BIOS from the below link and check if it helps.
