Hy everybody
I got a question/problem a bought Omen 15-dc0009nm "https://support.hp.com/rs-en/document/c06064113"
and in the specifications on the internet and on the bill and everywhere even on the website where i bought it. Says that it has a nvidia GTX 1070 8GB. But really it has GTX 1070 max q graphics. That is not the same its slower and it does not get the sam FPS as the other. So why HP why, did i get the wrong computer or its poor writing everywhere hp doesnt give a crap what it is selling?
Thanks for answering me 🙂

Hello @Slivko
If so, it wont be the first time someone at HP didnt follow thru with writing the correct information.
The specs do not mention MaxQ, but the Maintenence Manual does... Page 2. http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c06034959
IF true, I agree that it should have been written in the specs.
I will ping a moderator to ask a rep to contact you for further information and what can be done.
Edit: I did find that it does claim that the 1070 does come as MaxQ on the HP Store explanation page if you scroll down a bit...

Well, the perfomance will be dropped a little to save mostly on Heat issues becuase its such a thin case.
What should you do? Its really up to you whether you return it or not. I doubt the performance hit will be very much to be noticable though.
Its up to you.
A rep will contact you with in the next few days if you wish.

Hy
Performance was really really bad, before that i had a i7 6700hq and 1070 (laptop) version. In games i had only 900MHZ or 1000MHZ and the temps were always around 89C plus with fan always on 100% like a jet it was loud.
So yeah i opened the case and what a found. 2 screws were missing on the GPU heatsink. https://imgur.com/a/xMvS02X
So i found a similar screw and fixed it :P. So yeah now i have 1544MHz and 1750 if i overclock it.
A biiig mistake from HP on this one. And its only 5 days old. No quality control i see.
So yeah maybe i will return the product back. "It was only 1900€" its not enought for two more scews 😛

Good Grief!!! I would be letting HP Support know about that one. That is rediculous.
Good job on the find, but personally I would be for making them take care of it.
I will suggest you might want to repaste the heatsink now also. It might not be sitting on the paste very well by now. I would consider Thermal Grizzly Kryonaut if you do.
Thanks for the update.
