Hi,

I recently bought a compatible RAM kit 2x32 GB DDR4-3200 SODIMM CT32G4SFD832A from Crucial, but when installing them my Omen 15 en0013dx laptop no longer boots up. I suspect it's a BIOS issue and would like to upgrade it.

Current BIOS Version/Date AMI F.02, 5/11/2020. I would like to upgrade it, but Windows 11 is not listed when selecting my product OS. Windows 10 is listed and BIOS F.24 Rev.A is the latest release. Is this version compatible with my OS?

Thanks!

You service manual (on page 1) states your model supports up to 32 GB (2x16) DDR4-3200 memory.

Maintenance and Service Guide

Crucial says max 64 (2x32) GB is supported.

I suggest you click this link and run the wmic command to find the max RAM capacity your notebook actually supports.

2 Steps to Check Maximum RAM Capacity of Your Computer

The wmic command retrieves hardware information from SMBIOS in the system so what it reports is fairly accurate.

If it shows 32 GB, your model handles max 2x16 GB. If it shows 64, 2x32 is supported.
