Hello, so I've been wondering if there's anything I can do about a crack that started forming shortly after my warranty expired  from near the charging port, across the speaker holes to the hinger that appears to have formed due to stresses put on the frame of the laptop by the computer being open, and by opening the laptop.  The warranty has expired but I was wondering if it might still be replaced as the damage was not caused by any form of dropping or accident.

I have brought your issue to the attention of an appropriate team within HP. They will likely request information from you in order to look up your case details or product serial number. Please look for a private message from an identified HP contact. Additionally, keep in mind not to publicly post personal information (serial numbers and case details).

If you are unfamiliar with how the Forum's private message capability works, you can learn about that here.

How bad is the crack? Is there any way I can see a pic? HP is actually very reliable hard ware wise and I find their machines often live longer than the expected life spans. I have take HP laptops that are long past warranty and completely transferred the guts before when damage is super bad. If its just a crack you might be able to get a a sticker like laptop cover and seal it up. Make sure not to block and air intake exhaust . If its the the omen 15 I am thinking of you might can find a broken laptop that has a case of the exact dimensions. HP uses the same laptop cases across models. It might not be the omen case but mabye a pavilion case that is the exact same. It sounds scary but as long as you do your research and have a strong sense of patience it can be done.
