The laptop has been switching itself off in the middle of use (often when moved or the screen panel is adjusted/tilted). When switching it back on, there is no crash report or notification that it was not shut down properly. Last night it switched off again, but now does not switch on at all.

Hi @kazmatrix
Welcome to the HP Support Community. To assist you better, I would like to know the following:
- Do you see any lights on the PC or the power button when trying to power ON?
- Do you hear the fan spinning inside the laptop when you try to power it on?
- Does it power on using only the battery? (Keep the charger disconnected).
Meanwhile, let us try a hard reset on the PC
1) Shutdown the computer.
2) Unplug all the Adapter and peripherals connected.
3) Press and hold down the power button for 15 to 20 seconds.
4) Plug-in the Adapter.
5) Try to turn on the computer.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
