Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

So I am looking at an Omen 15T. My Pavillion's AMD APU failed after 4 years of solid performance. I am wondering if an Omen would be good for a college student. I know it s for gaming and it has greats specs and options geared towards PC gaming, but has anybody run virtual machines on it or heavy hitting software?

I'm assuming I will underutilize the computer since I am going to use it primarily for school and research.

thanks ahead of time

Hello @IMR8804

I dont know which Omen 15T you are looking at, as there are several. But it general, a CPU is still a CPU no matter the laptop model. A true gaming machine will always be spec'd out better than an average PC. If you are going to run VR's, be sure to get plenty of ram. I would go for at least 16GB.

Not sure what more I can add, but let us know if you have other questions.
